A garage door quote is only as good as what we know about your door before we show up. Over the phone, we can give you a rough range for common jobs - a broken torsion spring on a double door, a slipped cable, an opener that won't respond - but the final number depends on what's actually in your garage.
Most houses on this side of the valley went up between 1962 and 2007, with a heavy concentration from the 1980s and 90s. That matters because doors and openers from that era often use spring sizes, track widths, and drive systems that aren't what's sold today. A 16-foot double door on a house built in 1985 doesn't take the same spring as one built in 2003, even on the same street.
What we need from you for an accurate quote: the door's rough age or the home's build year, whether it's a single or double door, what's wrong (won't open, makes noise, off its track, opener dead), and a photo if you can manage one. What we can't price sight unseen: anything involving bent track, a door that's come off its rollers, or hardware that's been jury-rigged by a previous repair. Those need a look in person before we quote a number.
One honest limit: if your springs or cables are original to a house from the early 1980s, we may need to order a size that isn't on the truck. That adds a day, sometimes two, to the job - we'll tell you up front if that's the case.
After You Call
Once you call or submit a request, here's what actually happens. We ask a few questions about the door and the symptom, same as above, and get a window scheduled. If the issue sounds like something that needs eyes on it before we can price it fairly, we say so instead of guessing over the phone.
We work on doors throughout the Roseville area and into the surrounding communities - Antelope, Foothill Farms, North Highlands, Orangevale, Granite Bay, Rio Linda, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Gold River, Rosemont, Arden-Arcade, and out toward Loomis, Penryn, Newcastle, and Wheatland. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside that range, ask when you call.
On site, the tech checks the door, spring, track, and opener, tells you what's actually wrong, and gives you a firm number before touching anything further. If the fix is more than the door is worth - which happens on doors with rusted-through track or a panel that's been hit hard enough to bow the frame - we'll say that too. Replacing a door isn't something we talk you into; it's something we tell you is the better math when it's true.
Summer heat here runs severe, and that heat is hard on opener circuit boards and on springs that are already past their rated cycle count. If your opener's been acting up only in the afternoon, mention that when you call - it's a real clue, not a coincidence.
How to Reach Us
Call (916) 570-7542 to reach us directly, or stop by the shop at 2999 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA 95661. Phone is the fastest way to get a repair scheduled, especially if the door is stuck shut or open and you need someone out soon.
When you call, have the door's approximate age, the symptom, and your address ready. That's enough for us to give you a realistic range and get you on the schedule. If you want a written quote for a bigger job, like a full door swap instead of a repair, we can walk the job in person and give you a number on the spot - that one, we won't guess over the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Can you give me an exact price before you see the door?
For straightforward jobs like a broken spring or a dead opener, we can give you a close range by phone. For anything involving bent track, off-track doors, or hardware someone else already worked on, we need to see it in person before the number is firm.
Do you work outside Roseville itself?
Yes. We cover the surrounding area including Antelope, Foothill Farms, Orangevale, Granite Bay, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Rosemont, and out toward Loomis and Newcastle. If you're unsure whether your address is in range, call and ask before you book.
My house is from the 1980s. Does that affect the quote?
It can. A lot of homes in this area were built in that window, and some still carry original spring sizes or track hardware that current stock doesn't match exactly. If that's the case, we'll tell you before we start, since it can add a day for the part to come in.
What if the repair isn't worth doing?
We'll say so. If the cost to fix a badly rusted track or a bowed panel gets close to the cost of a new door, we tell you that straight instead of billing you for a repair that won't hold up.
